2000 Maniacs (1964) and Flesh For Frankenstein (1973)

Let's all go to the Drive-In Theatre circa 67-75.
Just press PLAY below and go full screen and enjoy a trip back to the Drive-In.

First up its 2000 Maniacs. The film has been noted by critics as an early example of hicksploitation in grindhouse films, as well as for its sensationalizing of national perceptions between the North and South.  Then the X rated Flesh For Frankenstein. In West Germany and the United States, the film was released as Andy Warhol's Frankenstein (though only the title Frankenstein appeared on the print itself) and was presented in the Space-Vision 3D process in premiere engagements. It was rated X by the MPAA due to its explicit sexuality, nudity and violence.

No surprise YouTube has deleted the film, but you can begin the playlist below and when it's time for Frankenstein select it below the playlist to watch it.

Let's create a fictional soundtrack for this cult classic using music from the era and some spoken word poetry to enhance the film.

Welcome to the haunting world of “Flesh for Frankenstein.” As you immerse yourself in this soundtrack, prepare to journey through eerie castles, alchemical experiments, and the tortured souls of Dr. Frankenstein and his monstrous creation. The music weaves a tapestry of darkness, blending folk, rock, and spoken word—a sonic canvas that mirrors the film’s twisted narrative.

As you listen, remember that music and madness share a sequence. Each note, each whispered syllable, binds us to the unknown. “Flesh for Frankenstein” is more than a film—it’s a symphony of fear, a requiem for lost souls. Let the music carry you beyond life’s veil, into the alchemical night. Note to listeners: The soundtrack is best enjoyed in dimly lit rooms, preferably during a thunderstorm.
